Beta Privacy & Consent Notice
What GrowWall is
GrowWall is a private family growth space for tasks, routines, milestones, and rewards. It is currently in a small invited beta. Each family's workspace is created for them by the GrowWall operator — there is no public signup, no public profiles, and no sharing between families.
What we store for your family
- Family setup: family name, member display names, roles, and avatars.
- Tasks, routines, milestones, approvals, and their history.
- Reward records: XP, points, streaks, badges, and shop redemptions.
- Photos your family uploads as task proof or homework scans.
- Questions children ask the Mia learning companion, kept private to your family.
- The parent account email used for sign-in, and basic session/device records so you can review and revoke access.
Children do not need an email address or their own account. They use an avatar and PIN inside the family workspace.
Where your data lives
- Family data and photos are stored on the operator's private, self-hosted GrowWall server — not on a public cloud database.
- Parent sign-in identity (email and password) is handled by Supabase Auth. Supabase does not receive your family's tasks, photos, or reward history.
- When you use AI features (homework feedback, handbook scan, Ask Mia), the uploaded photo and its task context are sent to the AI provider (Google Gemini, with Anthropic Claude as fallback) to generate the response. These features are optional per upload.
Family isolation
Every record in GrowWall belongs to exactly one family, and this boundary is enforced by the server on every request. No other family — and no logged-out visitor — can see your tasks, members, photos, or history.
How long we keep it
Growth history is part of GrowWall's value, so records are kept while your family actively uses GrowWall. If you leave the beta, your data is retained for up to 365 days as a grace period (so you can return or request an export), and nothing is auto-deleted without an explicit request and operator confirmation.
Your choices
At any time during the beta you can ask the operator to:
- export your family's data and photos,
- correct inaccurate account or child profile details,
- withdraw from the beta,
- delete or anonymise your family's data after an export and grace period.
Requests are handled personally by the operator during the beta — contact .
Your consent
By joining the beta, the parent who manages your family's account confirms they have read this notice and consent — on behalf of their family and children — to GrowWall storing and processing the data described above for the purpose of running the family workspace. The notice version you accepted and the date are recorded with your family's workspace. If this notice changes materially, we will ask you again before continuing.
